Male, 20s, North American accent.
Welcome.

You mention Bluffe first so I assigned you that one. I don't selectively cast folks for specific parts nor tell them what to sound like when they record their character: my stock reply for that hands-off approach is:
I very honestly leave choice of accents and characterizations in ANY part up to the reader. One of the key pleasures of running a play here at Librivox is finding out what the various readers have decided is right. Usually some unexpected things, and always different than I had originally pictured the play on stage myself. So that the completed play is not my vision of what should be, but a truly new and exciting collaborative creation.
Thanks, Todd

this is brilliant, Adam  I had a hunch that you'd do excellent in a bigger role too. :9: Bluffe is the typical boisterous bragging Falstaff impersonation. You're doing it mightily well. Awesome performance.

Act 4 is already PL ok, but I have a few notes for the other acts:

Act 2:
> at 3:35: "Pish you have put me out" etc – this is repeated twice, is there one version you prefer ? Then you can cut out the other one. I noticed a small error in the first version, maybe that is why you added another one ?

Act 3:
> at about 2:34: missed line: " Well, Sir Joseph, at your entreaty—But were not you, my friend, abused, and cuffed, and kicked?"

Act 5:
> at about 1:48: missed line: " All injuries whatsoever, Mr. Sharper."

thanks ! And if you like Congreve's style, you may also be interested in our last Steele play. There is one role left for grabs still. ;)

Corrections to Bluff sections made, apologies.

Also thank you for the affirmation Sonia. Still don't think I would make the best voice for someone named Myrtle though ;) There's enough of an oversaturation of male roles as it is.

oh Myrtle here is the male friend of the protagonist. I think it's his family name  no worries.

From the intro to the play: "Bevil's friend, Myrtle, the true lover whose affection is not lessened by change in the lady's dowry, is rewarded with the hand of Lucinda. The friends, formerly supposed by one of them to be rivals, thus become brothers."

Will check your corrections soon !

Does Sylvia just have the one line?

SYLV. The worst of me is, that I am your wife—

SYLV. The worst of me is, that I am your wife—
no, she has a lot more. Search for Silv. with an i instead of y. In fact the one line you found is the only one where the name was differently spelled.

Thanks for claiming :)

Male, 20s, North American accent.
If it's allright with you, Adam, I'll volunteer for Sir Jo.
Male-(ish), 60s-ish, Entirely neutral(ish) accent.

 as Adam already played Buff, Sir Jo is free for you, Adrian. Thanks !

And Todd: here is the epilogue, enacted by Laetitia in her usual panache, wit and a bit of a sneer:

Recording time: 2:04 min.

Hope you like it. Nothing like insulting audience and critics a bit at the end of the show.
