hehe that is actually what I also suspected when I heard this ;)

thanks, Nemo, all perfectly PL ok now.

Hi,

I've recorded section 25 but doing that raised 2 questions for me. This is a poem and the last few lines of the first verse are:

And this is law that I'll maintain
Until my dying day, sir,
that whatsoever king shall reign,
Still I'll be the Vicar of Bray, sir.

There are 5 more verses that each end with:

And this is law, etc.

I read as written but wondered if the "etc" was a short hand meaning "repeat the lines ending the first verse" or really meant that the last lines of those verses ended "et cetera." What do you think?

Second question - I read the standard librivox disclaimer, as listed in the MW but this reading clocks in at 3:32 and of that 31 seconds is the intro disclaimer. That proportion seems off. Could I substitute the short disclaimer?
Critical feedback is ALWAYS welcome - in the forum or via PM

hi Jennifer :)
There are 5 more verses that each end with:
And this is law, etc.

ah yes, sorry I didn't specify this. Yes, please read the 4 lines each time, it's like a chorus to the poem or song. Since we know the lines, I think it's cool to include them.
Second question - I read the standard librivox disclaimer, as listed in the MW but this reading clocks in at 3:32 and of that 31 seconds is the intro disclaimer. That proportion seems off. Could I substitute the short disclaimer?
no please keep the full disclaimer. Anyway, now with the 4 lines added it will be longer ;)

thank you for asking before you uploaded

thank you, Erin :) a great start in your shorties 8-) interesting painting's description (I always love those).

The text itself is flawlessly read, but only one small technical bit to note:

> at the end you have 7 seconds of silence, instead of only the standard 5. Could you cut that down a bit please ?

Thanks :)

  yes, we learn a new thing every day.

Thank you for these sections, again beautifully narrated and very interesting. I don't know much about this period if English history.

I have two small notes for each section though:

Section 9:

> in the beginning you left 9 seconds of silence  I already thought there was no audio at all. Can you keep the beginning silence to between 0.5-1 second maximum please ?

> at 0:17: you forgot "England, Part II" at the beginning of the title. Please always refer to the MW, I specified everything that I want to have read for the title in each section

> careful with the filename too. You wrote "word" instead of "world". Could you change this as well before reuploading please

Section 16:

> at 0:09: also here, please add "England Part III"

> filename change from "word" to "world" as well here

Section 8 is now PL ok. I noticed only just now that the filename contains the same typo, but no worries, I will make a note in the MW and correct it myself in my folder this afternoon.

Thank you :)
