PL Notes Section 4

A few of these errors I would not cite but for your request for Word Perfect, as they do not seem to significantly affect the meaning or the timing of expression. Let me know if this is what you want.

4:39 he next speaks of, you sort of garble next as nexss.
15:25 I applied myself to the task, you say supplied
15:51 a line of any of them, of any is missing
16:44 other persons besides himself knew, you say myself
17:26 He deals me what he inevitably conceives to be, he is missing
18:34 and it therefore should not occasion surprise, it is missing
19:56 no necessity for making the attempt, you say of
20:38 But I wrote to tell him what I had heard, tell is missing
21:04 juncture, you say junks-ture
21:51 repeated announcements, you say announcement
24:03 that I should go down, go is missing
24:33 I have never seen him in my life, you say had
25:09 stumble, after so con s-clusive
30:53 Order of Baronets, s is missing
31:37 by a professional joker, you say joke

Additionally, your recitation of Twain's part seems to drag on very slow in spots, as though you were growing sleepy. I did not notate times but in a few instances I tried boosting Tempo +6 (in Audacity), which to my ears was a nice improvement. (I'm sure you know, should you decide to alter tempo anywhere, make all the other corrections first.)

I am anxious to see who wins this lawsuit!

Oh...I wont give it away! It was so surprise to me!
but I suppose I shouldn’t have been surprised.
Thanks for the superb word perfect listening! And thanks for changing the speed of Twain’s reading… However he did speak very slowly and in the drawl so it probably doesn’t matter if it’s too slow but thanks for changing it to
your liking.

No, I didn't change a thing on your recording!!! I only made recommendations after fiddling with it a little on my machine to see how it might go.

Indeed, Twain spoke slowly, but what I reported was way more slowly than usual. :)

Thanks for your amazing listening!!!
I've made the corrections and now I will ONLY read from the actual microfiche files since most of the errors came from my reading the MUCH easier print of the Twainquotes files!!...which contain many errors ...coming from the Optical Character Recognition process!. (sigh)
I think you should just let the slow Twain stuff go....but if you want to go ahead and speed it up a tad, that would be fine, also.

THANKS!!

One more note on Section 4:
20:38 stumble, but um I wrote to tell him

No changes to tempo. If you're satisfied with it, so am I.

The OCR explanation makes sense. It was a surprising lot of errors for an experienced reader to make! So I went back and checked the working thread of Part 2, and I saw very few if any errors cited there. I'm glad of your explanation and reassurance that I'm not just being too nit-picky.

PL Notes 4 ,5, 6, 7
4 PL OK
5
4:54 3 bump in volume, from 86 to 89, seems abrupt
7:17 from the performances, s is missing (insignificant in my view)
Rumbling at the end.
6
:23 but by John Greenman, should say read
7
2:10 Clemons, you say Mr. Clemons (insignificant in my view but easy to delete)

sorry for my absence ....
I'm currently "under the weather" and wondering "FOR HOW LONG???"

I'm going WAY ahead with the microfiche gathering, in the mean time...but will get back to recording when I get my voice back!!
:-)

Happy New Year ALL!!

Sorry you're feeling under. Bummer for New Years, but that's a common complaint everywhere, it seems. As to the project, go at your own pace. I'm in no rush for clues as to who the murderer is, what room, and what weapon was used.

got everything but the "rumbling at the end"...not sure what that was.

Please let me know if my continuing cold makes the corrections worse, or not....
tnx
