-Please extend your ending silence to ~5 seconds.

The volume has a wide range. There were times when I hurt my ears until I turned down the volume. Have you considered compression followed by amplification? If you are interested, here is a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fKYYj6HMZU
