Beneath the Banner: Being Narratives of Noble Lives and Brave Deeds by Frederick J. Cross ( - 0).

This project is now complete. All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/beneath-the-banner-by-frederick-j-cross/

In this book are over 30 stories by various people about men and women who have done extraordinary things during and often before the time when similar products were invented. It is suitable for bedtime reading. ( Lynda Marie Neilson)
  • Text source (only read from this text!): http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/10024
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Hi Helen!

I have posted Sections 1-3. Sorry I did not let you know earlier - I was having issues with my internet again... too many people working from home!

Hi Helen -

I have added Sections 4-9 now.

Mary Ann - is Helen linked as the DPL yet? She has not DPL'd the first 3 so I do not think she is assigned yet...

Hello .
Are you needing a dpler for this thread? You see I have been recording audio for Lv for about 4 years now & am looking to help out in a different area now.
Currently I am dpling a poetry thread. I also have asked if a different thread is looking for a dpler.

If you would be in need of a dpler I would be more than willing to be that person for you,
just let me know.

That sounds wonderful to me Lynda. Just so you are aware if she chooses not to remain as your DPL I am willing to step in to help out.

Yes, I did notice there was no pler listed in the mw. I would not have asked if a dpler was needed for this thread if there had been one listed in the mw. My offer still stands if Helen chooses to bow out, let me know.

April -

Helen has agreed to DPL this and if you read the very short thread above your first post you would have seen her checking in.

I do not think it is right you keep pushing the subject.
