guess whose holidays have started

I had a go at the shorties, one-sceners, here are 3 of them and my voice credits. I loved the Duchess of Gloucester despairing, but still powerful hatred for Mowbray. She should have had a bigger role. BTW if this is ok, we can already assemble our first scene :9:

here is our first scene assembled. John of Gaunt gets blamed by the Duchess of Gloucester. As well he deserves. If anybody has time to PL this, please notify us here so we won't be doing double work :)

and here are my two last shorties, twice raspy-voiced, the one more than the other. Ross actually sounds a bit drunk in retrospect

Now only three big roles left. I am a bit dreading those. :? The easiest is probably the Queen, because I will give her a distinct French accent. Will work on it tomorrow.

ok here is the Queen, with heavy French accent  at least she will be distinct to Richard in the scene where they both talk together. Now I need to make a different voice for my last female role. :?

and the Duchess of York. I gave her a very soft voice, to make a difference to the deeper voice of the Duchess of Gloucester. And she doesn't have a French accent  so I guess the three females are well distinguishable. The three women were strong characters in a way, which didn't make it easier.

Now only for Richard himself....need a bit more preparation for this. Enough for the moment.

Marshal corrected. I haven't changed the file name, sust so it could write over the original.

Christmas guests heading home. It should start to quieten down and give me some catch up time.

Happy New Year to everyone!!

full house can curb LV time ;)

I also happily announce that I recorded ALL of Richard's lines now and only need to edit. Which is still a lot, he is very wordy. I decided to go for a more neutral voice, tinged with some arrogance at times, and some despair at others. Wow this guy had mood-shifts  It was difficult to keep track sometimes whether to be enraged or humble at the beginning of each speech

Happy New Year to you as well. I predict you will have full house again on the 1st ;)

and here is a start for Richard :? in trepidation I await feedback. Since this is before his fall, I made his voice very arrogant. It will subtly but steadily change throughout the performance, with occasional outbursts into his former character. As I said, it was a highly complex role.

two more to fill the gaps. Wow in 3.2. Richard is quite manic-depressive  switching back and forth from pride to despair in each lengthy monologue he does.

and the next two. I must admit, Richard is getting on my nerves. He is such a drama queen, constantly lamenting his lost status. In my eyes he is a bad loser who cannot adapt to new circumstances. A character trait he probably shares with many "formerly great" people.

two more to go, I try to finish them tomorrow. For today it's enough I think.

I finished another scene nevertheless...Richard and his Queen in dialogue...now here it is crucial that my heavy French accent for the Queen makes a clear distinction who is who in this dialogue and that people will ignore that it is actually twice my voice

I would have finished the last scene as well, but I found three recording errors which I need to re-do and I don't have a quiet room tonight, so this will have to wait till tomorrow.

and here is King Richard, suitably dispatched of with dramatic dying groans  and wow, his first long introspective soliloquy here was very deep and interesting to speak.

I finished it all in the old year still :9: now waiting for you guys to follow suit.

Happy New Year Brad, Craig and Tomas :birthday:
