I'm so sorry about this, but I forgot to save the file on my laptop. I'll have to redo the story to get this done so can it be done without? If not, I'll withdraw this entry.
Cheers!

Hi Nishtha,

No need to redo it! Just download the file from here. If you don't know how to download it, let me know and I can fix it for you ~ no big deal! Don't want you to re-record for such a minor edit! :-)

Ummmm sorry! I have no idea how to do that!
Could you please walk me through the steps?

Thanks,

Hi Nistha,

Sure, I would be happy to help! I don't know what browser or operating system you are using, so it may work slightly differently.

Click on the link, and it most likely will start playing, then right click on it and it will give you a menu, one of the options being "Save Audio As" (or something to that effect). Click on that. It should download to your computer, and you should be able to open it in Audacity.

If that doesn't work, let me know your operating system and we will figure it out for you. :-)

I have a contribution, I found this one in Book Suggestions. It was donated through the Library of Congress Archives. I don't see an author, but it has a page with the publisher and date on it and at the bottom it says "from the press of Richard Handy." Do you suppose he was the author? I searched everywhere from more information and that's all I could find on it anywhere. I can change the intro to reflect his name as the author if it needs to be, otherwise I've already done what I thought was right for it. I stated "by Dodd, Mead and Company, ...from the press of Richard Handy."

Ready for PL!

Thank you!

I would just state the author as "Unknown" since we really don't know if the Richard Handy person was the author.

If you could change the intro/outro to reflect that, that would be great.

Just say by unknown, and remove the Dodd, Mead, and Company, etc.

Everything else was great! :-)

Hello. I found 2 stories I'd like to read/add to this collection. Do we need to give you the information up front/claim these works or just post in here when we have it completed? (1st time picking my own work to read vs asking to read for other posts :) )

No pre-claims needed for collections like these!

If you are unsure if something is public domain, feel free to ask before recording, and I can help. Otherwise just submit with all the info needed when you upload! :D

Thanks for the detailed instructions, but that bit just didn't seem to work. I mean, I was able to download the file just fine, but I couldn't get it to open in the audacity file format, it remained mp3! :help:

Thanks,
Nishtha
