Thanks! I did notice that too but i'm not sure how to edit the volume in audacity. Any way to edit without re-recording?

Oh, yes! Definitely! Do you have ReplayGain installed in Audacity. It is not always there and can be installed easily. It's pretty useful, but we can lift the volume another way for the time being.

Use the Effect > amplify to do it. Please ask if this is confusing. \

I recorded about 2 minutes today. Still a bit raspy. It's maddening!
