Ready for PL. (I left some extra large gaps where Hatherly begins
his tale - hopefully that should give you time to stop playback while you scroll down!)

May I read Mr. Breckenridge in Story 7 and Dr Watson's Door Guard in Story 9?

Andrew, this is a massive project, and you have taken on a huge role in it, so it's understandable if you get frustrated or overwhelmed at times. You should know that you have lots of support, both physical and moral, so if you need help, feel free to ask. And don't worry if it takes longer than you had planned -- we are all volunteering our time, so we needn't stress ourselves (too much 8-) ).

You should know that your work is appreciated (by us, for now, but later it will be appreciated by the world :) ).

So keep up the good work. I love everythiong you do! (ya, I think "thiong" is bound to take off and go viral  ).

Hello Beth,

Here is Watson 07 ready for PL.

https://librivox.org/uploads/kathrinee/sherlockholmes_drwatson_07_128kb.mp3

I have also reposted 09, just in case...

https://librivox.org/uploads/kathrinee/sherlockholmes_drwatson_09_128kb.mp3

(Please note: I spotted 3 or 4 (very) minor fluffs on a readthrough. Personally, since they have no major impact
on the intent of the story - I am inclined to let them slide.

However, if you think that they are important - I shall fix them.

Mrshand -many thanks for the door guard!

Andrew

Watson ch 7 PL notes:

8:10 repeat "which he could so easily... Which he could so readily assume" 2nd version is correct
9:40 line missing "not particularly."

Watson ch 9 PL notes:

2:40 wrong word "closed the door TIGHTLY behind him."

That's all! This chapter is probably the next one to start editing, as I think Hatherley's file is the longest and could be used as the base file.

Thanks Beth!

I spotted those fluffs just after uploading - DOH!

Easy fixes. I've already edited 9 as far as poss, since Adrian did
most of the work (very nicely!) and everyone else is present and correct, apart
from Peter and myself.

This is totally off topic, but I had to share, 'cos it gave me such a laugh!

(From my best Mate, Rich...)

'And Yes, I'm reading War of the Worlds rather than watching the TV series...
I did start listening to your audiobook, but I always prefer to concentrate on a book (and it kinda felt like I was sat on your knee while you read me a bedtime story 😉 )

Priceless!

PS:

Peter,

When you get your pc back... Section 9, 'The Engineers Thumb', may be the best one to work on next.

I think that it is the 'shortest' Holmes piece in the collection!

Andrew :)

I've just received it back. I've recorded a couple of short sections of a book on fungi that I fancied doing. I'll start on Sherlock tomorrow.

Thanks Mate!

I really enjoyed that one about the 'priest holes' - who woulda thunk it!

Thanks, Andrew; it was a pleasure to read the book.

The Holmes recording will have to wait a day or two. It's raining heavily today, and the sound would be picked up by my microphone.
