Sorry, I didn't see this claim earlier. That would be great. Thanks a lot! Newcomers to the dramatic forum are always welcome.

Hello Rob,
Here you are, ready for PL
act 1 @ 3:53 https://librivox.org/uploads/maryannspiegel/weathercock_captainpouts_1.mp3
act 2 @ 0:33 https://librivox.org/uploads/maryannspiegel/weathercock_captainpouts_2.mp3
act 3 @ 1:36 https://librivox.org/uploads/maryannspiegel/weathercock_captainpouts_3.mp3
act 4 @ 2:43 https://librivox.org/uploads/maryannspiegel/weathercock_captainpouts_4.mp3
act 5 @ 2:10 https://librivox.org/uploads/maryannspiegel/weathercock_captainpouts_5.mp3

Had a fair bit of fun with that, but struggled to bring out the caring compassionate angle.

Best,
Adrian
Thanks, Adrian. This is great. Just a few small things to fix, please.

Act 1
1:35 "Pray, who dwells in your mother's backside, at the sign of the aqua-vitæ bottle?" I hear 'sight instead of 'sign'.

Act 2 PL OK

Act 3 PL OK

Act 4
2:30 "methinks I see myself in Moorfields, upon a wooden leg, begging threepence". I hear 'four fields' instead of 'moorfields'.

Act 5
Missing first line: "What a rogue are you!
Is this the surgeon you would carry me to?"

Thanks, Jim. All your sections are PL OK. I also liked how you dealt with that weird rhyme for 'festival'! I don't know if the original authors of these plays meant such rhymes to be funny, but they seem to have chosen so many sight rhymes that don't work if pronounced in the usual manner, I think they must have been after a laugh!

OK, Sonia, I don't know if you are still monitoring this thread (I will send a DM if I don't see you respond), but here is Act 4 for PL.

I started with this act because I had the recordings ready first. I now have the recordings ready for Act 1, so feel free to leave this until later.

did you really think the answer would be no ? I am looking at this with growing interest.

And yes I will PL Act 4, but probably only tomorrow, because I have quite a lot of backlog already today and I don't think I can get to it anymore before the day runs out.

But it's not forgotten and I'm looking forward to it. :9:

and I just listened to Act 4. Brilliant acting by all involved. I especially liked the fighting scene between Pouts and Strange. What rage.

Oh and I was surprised how callously Scudmore talks about Bellafront ! To think that I shed tears over him  Todd can have a nasty streak when he wants to

Excellent, all of you !

Rob, I have only found three spots where there was an "aside" at the beginning of a speech. By convention we mention the name when the aside is put at the beginning. Otherwise it may refer to the person who spoke before. Just mentioning it, but it may be optional.

> at 16:33 and at 17:03: "Abraham, aside" – you wouldn't have a narrator's "Abraham" somewhere to paste in ?
> at 17:41: "Pendant, aside" - same here for Pendant

Apart from that, absolute great editing job

Looking forward to the rest.

Sonia
