Hi m8b1, I am a returning reader, the equipment check has been passed. I'm ready to record again. I'd like section 29 if possible.

Thank you,

Hi, m8b1, I left a note for you in Listeners wanted that I will re-record a test. I forgot to ask if I should re-submit the test to a Listener or use my own judgement. If I re-submit I probably won't be working on the book file tonight other than to read it through--which would be alright :)

Hi m8b1

I'm sorry to say that I will not be recording for you or Librivox at this time. I had too much trouble with the test recording. This old house has many noises--even my laptop makes noise. I'm too thoroughly discouraged :(

I even had trouble downloading a text file I could read from. I finally downloaded and saved the PDF file from the link you provided in the Magic WINDOW.

All this took hours. I was exhausted.

Good-bye and thank you,

Sue

Oh, I'm so sorry, Sue! The recording doesn't have to be perfect ~ a little bit of noise is okay! (And noise cleaning can work wonders on a file!) Don't hesitate to ask for help if you need it!

If you decide to try again, I'd be happy to have you back!

Yes,m8b1, I've rested. I'll try the test recording again tonight and send the file in. Can you keep section 29 for me?

Hi m8b1,

Here's a copy of the new test recording for you. I also sent one to Listeners and Editors Wanted.

It was more fun this time. I'm getting used to recording again. I think I'm beginning to remember the enjoyment I used to get out of this!!

Hi Sue,

I'm glad you tried again, and that it is starting to be fun again! That is what we want it to be, not a chore! Just think of it as that steep learning curve from when you first started recording, just hopefully much easier to get over than the first time around! :D

It sounds much, much better this time! I'm not really hearing the noise that the other listener is hearing in the test thread. Personally I think you are good to go!

I've put you back in for 29. If you have any troubles with anything, don't hesitate to ask!
