My proof listening was not super-picky (I was listening while doing work outside), but.
Chapter 1: OK
Chapter 2: 12:43 (repeat) "You have told blank and dash and chose about the machine". I have fixed it.

I'm going to upload these to my server librivox.ductapeguy.net/timemachine . Let's not use the uploader script because we both have had difficulties with it (I don't want to make the process difficult for you). I'll pm you ftp information for my librivox server if you don't mind ftp-ing in.

Re Ubuntu. Sorry to hear your having so much difficulty with feisty. 1.2.6 is working well for me on feisty and I have 1.3.3 working with a few hiccups under Wine.

Hi TBOL3,

I am finally ready to listen to this now! Sorry for the delay, I moved house.. then country! :-D

I see Ductapeguy has already listened to the first two chapters - what level of proof listening do you want - 'standard', referring to the Listening/Editing thread?

OK I listened to the links in page 4-

The disclaimer - to repeat it at both start and end seems a little too much to me.

Chap 1: 11:53 "it would be remarkably convinced' repeat

Chap 2: 10.53 "said the time MACHINE" rather than time traveller :D

12.44 "You have told -, - and - about the machine?" repeat

Chap 3: Volume seems a little louder than the other two, maybe this is something to keep an eye on.

7.49 bit of a cough/choke, can this be edited easily?

10.05 "soft turf" repeat

13.23 "incontinently slain" repeat

14.33 a jump in the editing, could this be smoothed out?

and something that isn't major, but still stands out to me - you say "rhodron bushes" at 11.11 and elsewhere - it's rhododendron, which text are you using?

Hope this helpful, looking forward to the next chapters :)

Fine Ductapeguy, and intact, I just finished editing chap. 4. (Sorry, still need too change mistakes in the first three chapters, and I will take out the disclaimer). So, do you want me to use the LV uploader now?

Good idea. Use the Librivox uploader. It will save you the hassles of using mine, and it will already be on the LV server when it's time to catalogue.

This project was begun as a Solo project in January 2007. It has been abandoned by the soloist since September 2007. Here is the newly minted collaborative project of The Time Machine.
To avoid confusion, this thread has been locked. If you are interested in helping out with recording The Time Machine, hop on over to the other thread.
