Two Special LV Community Podcasts Planned:
"New Endings" and "New Beginnings"

(Note: Spur-of-the-moment COMMUNITY podcasts, not solos.)

The annual turning is ‘round the corner.
Tracks are being laid for two family-fun-fare holiday-podcasts.

An LV holiday MP3 party.

How have you faired this past year year?
What do you have planned for next year?
(Here at LV, at work, and at play.)

Contributors and idea-makers needed.
(Do you think we have any idea of what we're going to do?)

Formerly taciturn volunteers wanted.
Silly sidekicks and nefarious nosey bodies gleefully welcomed.

1. Looking Backward: LV Forum Year-End Not So Maudlin Musings Party
(Release 28 Dec 06) (Deadline 26 Dec 2006)
Holiday thoughts and reflections, contemplations.

2. Looking Forward: LV Community New Year Considerations and Reconsiderations
(Release 02 Jan 07) (Deadline 02 Jan 2007)
Peripatetic perambulations on the glorious new year ahead.
How you would want /plan the new year to be.
Visionaries and resolution makers wanted.

Looking for:
LV / Sound / Recording tidbits of international proportions.
All suggestions and contributions are welcome:
Light-hearted interviews with the loose and jocular;
Samples of your favorite recordings;
Anything with a noise on it.
Anything with less than 12 seconds of total silence on it.

Nothing too small
or too big
or to clumsy
or too elegant
or too boisterous
or too amateurish
or too self-conscious
or too "what-if-I-suck"
or too "can-there-be-anyone-better"
—nothing noteworthy will be judged unworthy.*

It's now time to let it all hang out.
Kick your shoes off (but keep your socks on.)

Open-source type thinkers, post your suggestions here.
Jack-in-the-box jokesters send a PM to the poster of this message.

If you’re stumped and do know what to do,
fear not. Send us a note and we’ll make yet
another of our off-the-wall suggestions to get you started.

* Short of bad taste.

(Geeky editors are standing by to make sense out of anything you send.
All editing will be done on an 8-Track tape player using the newly released
Paucity v. 1.001.1 softwear.) (Opps, sorry, we've just been informed that
it's now 7 tracks. One got stick in my '62 Chevy wagon.)

Ohhhhhh....how can I refuse? I'll try and scrounge something up. :)
In my experience, nothing ruins a party like someone suddenly speaking Latin in reverse.

On Friday when I next get on to record, I can upload my ever-growing collection of "hilarious" bloopers...

...if that's the sort of thing you're looking for.

Yes, I very much am, if they are LV bloopers and not already on the Bloopers thread.

Thanks much!

Ok...went into my files and discovered that in my enthusiasm for bloopers, I already put most of mine up in the other thread. However, I did find this file that I've been slowly putting together pretty much since I started, just of weird noises and me talking to myself -- stuff not long enough for bloopers but maybe (maybe... :P ) still funny...I'll post it up and if you find anything in it that does you any good, you can use it.

Alan,

Just to let you know, I'm still on the case.

(Having to force myself to stop editing Lear, just for long enough to do the Christmas shopping!)

It's always nice to find someone else doing bloopers, at last I don't feel alone anymore! :) Hey, It's good to be here, feels like home to me.

Thanks Robert. This thread of course was the 2006 Xmas & New Years podcasts, so Dec/Jan is a full season away. Don't thin we're doing signups anymore, but if you send Jimm an intial PM on your interest and then lay claims closer to the date, that might be a good route (or is that rout?)

Regards.
