Will there be a limit this year on the number of contributions from any one reader? Or have I missed it? Last year it was 3.
Asking for a friend (OK, for me).

Ah, OK! I was sort of hoping it would be four, so that more people can contribute more short pieces . Oh well.

As the co-ordinator - I like collections to be a nice mixture of voices and authors and contibutions - so I hope that is what this will turn out to be .

I've recorded "Old Father Christmas" by JH Ewing, and I have a question on editing.
In the Gutenberg version of the book (which is what I have read from), an unrelated story called "Snap-Dragons" is printed as chapter one while "Old Father Christmas" takes up chapters two to five. If I include the Gutenberg chapter headings, listeners are going to be confused, or think something is missing, as we immediately start off with chapter two. Would it be OK if I missed those out?
Another digitised version of the book can be found at the Digital Library. That seems more detailed than the Gutenberg version, and has different headings and chapter labels. It includes, for example, a sub-heading to the story: "An Old-Fashioned Tale of the Young Days of a Grumpy Old Godfather".
If the Digital library is considered OK as a valid source, perhaps I could edit my recording to comply with that rather than with Gutenberg?
What do you think?

Hi
We do accept the university of Pennsylvania , so if the text itself is the same you could use it. If it differs, then you could call just say part 1 etc - I agree to state chapter 2 might be a bit confusing. Or maybe just ignore the chapter completely and read it as one story?

Old Father Christmas
by Juliana Horatia Gatty Ewing (1841-1885)
Read from http://www.gutenberg.org/files/43763/43763-h/43763-h.htm

As you suggested, I've used the Gutenberg text, reading the whole thing as a single story without the misleading chapter numbers.
Athough Gutenberg gives the author just as "J.H. Ewing", the catalogue record at the British library lists her name as "Ewing, Juliana Horatia Gatty, 1841-1885" (http://primocat.bl.uk/F?func=direct&local_base=ITEMV&doc_number=001183232&con_lng=eng)
