Thank you! I need some advice on how to do this. I'm having problems hitting that "Goldilocks Zone." My recording is always too soft; and if I up my gain, it is still too soft and full of swampy mouth noises. Amplifying, makes it too loud. Is there a way that I can see this 86-92 dB measurement within Audacity?

Any advice is welcome!!

Thank You,

If you download the Checker program you can see it. Then you can know how much to amplify by.

I put the file through Checker before I uploaded. It passed with warnings. Should I infer from this that "Pass With Warnings" is actually failing?

If you go to the 'validation' tab it will tell you exactly what these warnings are. Some of these are not as important (mine alerts me if my recording us under 10 minutes), while others may tell you that there's an issue with something (the volume is off, wrong specs, etc.). If you go to the information tab you can see more specifics.

Looks like this book is a good one to juxtapose against Atlas Shrugged? I'll sign up for chapter 12.
~Lynette * - family visiting, very slow response and PL work until the 22nd.
Fancy some fun character recording? Small parts needed in these dramatic novels: Clouds of Witness | Ivanhoe (DR)

I can close the gap by doing 13 and 14, but it'll probably be a couple weeks before I do them.

That is more than fine, I have put you down for them. You have a 2 month deadline, but if you find yourself falling behind you can always request an extension.
