Thanks, this is now in the MW - I didn’t quite catch your voice credit name - was it Jason Daves?

Hi, Jason--You did a very nice job on your first recording! It wasn't the easiest text for a first recording, so thank you!! We've got just a few things to correct.

Section 23:
--At ~11:32 I hear “The Olynthian wept at the sight…” but the text shows “The Athenian wept at the sight…” (p. 386 of the text)

--At ~21:43 Maybe just an editing error here? The portion of the text in red is omitted from the recording (starting from last sentence on p. 390 of the text): “...enemies of all who share in the treaty. It is further provided that all the deputies and all who have a care for the public safety shall see that, in the States which share in the peace, there shall be no executions or banishments contrary to the laws now existing in the States, or confiscations of property or redivisions of the soil or abolitions of debt or emancipations of slaves for revolutionary purposes. In case the exiles from any State attempt a forcible return, the State which harbors such militant exiles shall be excluded from the peace. All are at liberty to navigate the sea, and the State which infringes this right shall be deemed a common enemy. The contracting States agree not to encroach upon one another in any way, but faithfully to keep the peace. Between Philip and the league there is to be an offensive and defensive alliance. Philip is to be the commander-in-chief. The deputies pledge their States by oath not to overthrow the kingship of Philip or of his descendants but to maintain the treaty and to wage war upon any who violate it. These arrangements were to be permanent. It was further decided that Macedon and Hellas should wage jointly a war against Persia under Philip's command. The sum of the Hellenic forces was reckoned at 200,000 infantry and 15,000 cavalry.”

--At ~22:22 I hear “…Philip was a self-serving despot” but the text shows “…Philip was a self-constituted despot” (p. 391 of the text)

Finally, we need to have 5 seconds of silence at the end of the recording, so please add a few more seconds of silence to the end of the track.

So make the corrections and upload the edited track using the same file name. Post the link here again along with the new track length--and then I will take another look at it. Let us know if you have any questions. We will be happy to help if we can! :)
Kind regards,
Lucretia

Elizabby,

That's it exactly (Jason Daves). Do you think I should do that again more clearly?

Lucrecia,

Thank you so much and sorry for the trouble. Next time I'll proofread listen while reading the text.

No trouble at all, Jason--I enjoy PL'ing the files for this book. These files don't have to be word perfect (unless specifically stated as such in a particular project). But we do listen for repeats or for errors that might change the meaning of the text. Some people read along when they proof listen, others do not. I happen to be one of those PL'ers who reads along with the text while proof listening. Yell if you have questions! :)
Kind regards,
Lucretia

Hi Simba--Glad that you recovered from your cough. Sometimes those things are difficult to shake.

Section 27:
--First, we need 5 seconds of silence at the end of the recording, so please add some silence to the end of the track.
--Since you will be uploading again anyway, could you please make one correction for me? At ~28:41 I hear “…featured no assailant, so long as she could maintain a powerful navy.” but the text shows “…feared no assailant, so long as she could maintain a powerful navy.” (bottom of p. 457 of text)

That's it. Upload again using the same file name, post the link here along with the new track length--and then I'll spot check the file. Thank you! :)
Kind regards,
Lucretia
