Here is mine for short stories 83
https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/ss083_reality_af_128kb.mp3 28m 46s
It is from collection called "The Jilt &c Good Stories of Man and Other Animals" published 1896
Story title Reality
Author Charles Reade 1814-1884
https://archive.org/details/jiltcgoodstorie00readgoog/page/n218
Had a bit of a problem using American pronunciation of "clerk" (clurk), felt very odd . Originally I had used my normal English version "clahrk", then realised that was confusing as there is a character called Mr Clarke, so had to re-do- hope I didnt miss any!
cheers, Anne

Hello,
This is actually my very first attempt at a full recording, successfully completed on the 5th attempt I think! I have completed a successful test.
https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/ss083_homecoming_ag_128kb.mp3
The Story is called Homecoming by Miguel Hidalgo. I'm not sure what his date of birth is, as all the Google results for his name relate to the 19th century Mexican Roman Catholic priest (not him). However, I think the copyright element is fine as the story is available on Gutenberg:
https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/60515
This is the source I used for my reading.
It's 17:46 in length.
I would like to appear in the catalogue as Andrew Gibson.
Many thanks for the opportunity.
Kind Regards
Andrew

And, in future, don't worry about using American pronunciation. Just read however feels natural, unless you are getting in character (which isn't required). I spent more than half my life in England and these days don't know what is English and what is American pronunciation

Cheryl will proof listen soon, so be sure to check back for her notes.
Edit: This was just published in 2019. However, Gutenberg lists it as Public Domain in the U.S. If you are located outside the U.S., it is probably not PD for you -- most countries rely on the author's date of death. I note this is a science fiction piece and there is a separate collection for SF devotees viewtopic.php?f=19&t=76782&hilit=short+science+fiction It is your choice whether to submit it there (but we can only have it in one place, so let me know)
