I have uploaded my files for sections 08 and 17:

https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/completepoeticalworks_08_poe_128kb.mp3 (Runtime 04:38)

https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/completepoeticalworks_17_poe_128kb.mp3 (Runtime 01:07)

Please let me know if these sound okay, or if there's anything else I need to do. (These are my first completed recordings for LibriVox, so pretty excited about them!)

sect 9, 12-13, 23, 32, & 45
PL OK

Excellent reading!
*Note: "[Poem title], by Edgar Allan Poe, is all that is required when you don't plan to disclose your name.
Leave off "read for LibriVox.org" ....

You defiantly do not need to change anything, this is just for future reference.

I'm updating the MW with the items from the last few posts, as I'm getting confused. :)

Denise - I need to leave this one up to the Book Coordinator, because I don't know if she wants gender accurate voices. However, note that Baldazzar has lines in more than one scene. Are you willing to voice the lines for all of him? (Looks like just scene 3, section 89 besides scene 5, section 96).

:?: :?: :?: It is. I'm confused. What exactly should be there? The way I understand the instructions on page one, there should be "End of section 78" and "End of The complete poetical works of Edgar Allan Poe, by Edgar Allan Poe. ". Is that wrong?

I didn't listen to the file, but if you put the "End of The Complete Poetical Works..." wording in, then it's wrong. That only goes in the very last section of the work - at the very end of the book - so the listener knows they've come to the end of the book. Think of it as the back cover of the audio. :) Section 78 out of 99 should only have "End of section 78" at the end.

: #6 - The Bells
: #16 - El Dorado

: #28 - The Haunted Palace

...and if possible (when they are numbered)...
: The Valley of Unrest
: To the River
: The Lake

Thank you...LJB
On second thought, I don't think I could do justice to "The Bells" (section 6).
I just keep hearing Basil Rathbone in my head, doing the greatest rendition of this poem I've ever heard.
So here it is back, up for grabs.
Thank you...LJB (I'm keeping the others!)
Removed. I'm glad you're keeping the rest :D
I'm still here!
Or at least, still alive.
Life has been silly.
I will be back soon, I promise!

Well, sections 79-99 are all character dialogue from the Politian, which, if I understand it correctly, once finished, will be somewhere in the middle of the audiobook. So, section 78 will actually be the last the listener will hear. Also, it is the actual end of the book, the file I got from gutenberg.org says "end of text" at the end of section 78, so I figured the "End of the book" announcement needs to go there. Please correct me if my reasoning is wrong.

Aha! That reasoning is correct! I didn't look at the magic window when I whipped off that last post.

So, if the problem with the file is only that it has the End of Book outro, then it isn't a problem and is PL OK. I await our DPL Helen's input. :)
