Andrew the Glad by Maria Thompson Daviess (1872 - 1924).

A sweet, heartfelt, old-fashioned romance. The middle-aged adults take a kindly interest in the affairs of the young people, with many having friendships across generations in a way not often seen today. Experience life with Phoebe, David, Caroline, Andrew, and the Buchanans in a small town in the Harpeth Valley, Tennessee in the early 1900s.

This book reflects many of the feelings and attitudes prevalent at the time of its original publication. 1. Is there a deadline?
  We ask that you submit your recorded sections within 1-2 months of placing your claim. Please note that to be fair to the readers who have completed their sections in a timely way, if you haven't submitted your recording(s) after two months, your sections will automatically be re-opened for other readers to claim, unless you post in this thread to request an extension. Extensions will be granted at the discretion of the Book Coordinator. If you cannot do your section, for whatever reason, just let me know and it'll go back to the pool. There's no shame in this; we're all volunteers and things happen.Please do not sign up for more sections than you can complete within the two month deadline.
2. How to claim a part, and "how it all works" here
  To find a section to record, simply look at point 5. below at the sections. All the ones without names beside them are "up for grabs." Click "Post reply" at the top left of the screen and tell us which section you would like to read (include the section number from the left-most column in the reader list, please). Read points 6. to 8. below for what to do before, during and after your recording.

This is set up.

I took the tilde out from the start of the thread title since you said you're going to PL parts. Otherwise I think it's confusing. I think it would be good to advertise for a PL for the final chapters later on, when there are some to listen to - or like I put in the thread title, note that it's the final DPL needed. It's more specific.

I'm not sure the proper way to pronounce the last name "Sevier". French? English? Doing a little research.... If any of you happen to know, shout it out. This is early 1900s rural Tennessee.

Looks like you're all set. I'll move it to Readers Wanted.

There doesn't appear to be a section 0, so I've made the sections to number starting at 1. If this needs changing, I can do so. The section numbers don't matter as much on a DW since no files (except the final ones) need them.
