Thank you! And I'm assuming you noticed my earlier post in this thread where I posted the completed audios - if not, it's a couple of posts before this one. 8-)

I'd like to claim sections 129 and 134! These will be my first recordings, so you could you please list me under "Thadeus Smith" in the catalog?

So glad to have you debut in our project!

I've added you to the catalog and assigned these sections to you.
Just click on your name in the Magic Window to see your personal catalog page where you can track all of your LV work.

The revision of your test sounds good. Finding quiet places to record is an issue for most of us.
My only suggestion is to slow down a bit. The pace is just a little fast for good listening.

I'll look forward to having your recordings.
Just let me know if you have any questions.

Hi! I would be glad to consider you for this, but we do ask our new readers first to complete a one-minute test recording to check out recording specifications. This was mentioned in your welcome message, but you can also find the information in the Newbie Guide to Recording, linked in bullet point 2 of the initial post in this project thread. I also suggest reading through it as it has a lot of valuable information to get you off to a good start.

When you have the official "OK" on your test, pleas post here again with your requests and I'll be happy to add you to this project.

Let me know if you have any questions,

~Larry

Okay, these are now Ready for PL.

The reason you didn't hear from me sooner, like a few hours, is because I still have to work for a living and can't be on LV all day. I do check in at least twice a day, which is enough to keep me current with all of my projects.

But, thanks for getting these in. (Better than a long wait).

Hooray, lovely reading, right file format and extra space at the end.

There was a problem though, in that you had omitted to amplify the sound, so it was below the level required. Now, don't stress, because I have fixed this one for you, since I didn't want you to feel you were trying to climb an endless mountain and kept sliding back down.
So, I've done 2 things to the file you uploaded: amplified it to get the right sound level, and while at it, added in an extra couple of secs just before 'Application' to make the break clearer for the reader. Then I uploaded the revised file (now 2.30) and marked as PL OK. So you should now have a 'model' you can refer back to.
I would ask that you download it, and compare the amplified version with the original one you uploaded, in Audactiy. You should immediately see a difference in the 'shape' of the waveform, to help you pick easily in future when you have omitted to amplify.
Thanks for reading! It gets easier, I promise, as you become more familiar.

Thank you, I have PL'd these. Great reading! Great attention to pausing in the right places and reading phrases in a way that conveys meaning - very well done.
Only one tiny change in 90:
~2.15 The word 'shew' is a now old fashioned spelling of 'show' and read just the same as show (even a native speaker might stumble on this). I'm going to ask you to change it, because a listener will think they are hearing the word 'shoo' which means something very different and makes no sense here.

FYI (For your information)
extraordinary - we usually say this as though there is no 'a' in it, ie, as 'extrordinary' in 5 syllables, rather than as 2 words in 6. No need to change unless you choose.
Thanks!

Note still waiting for the changes to your other files still marked See PL notes. (This always means you need to change something and re-upload the revised file/s).

I certainly didn't mean to imply that you should be on call 24/7. I am certainly aware, having been a reader here for several years that people here are volunteers. Sorry if you took anything I said the wrong way. :(
