Would I be able to add a couple of Rudyard Kipling's? I know that lots (maybe all?) have already been recorded from a quick search though...

Sure! Thank you!

I don't know if all poems have been recorded. Probably the well known ones have been recorded more than once, but I bet some of his obscure poems are still unrecorded. He was quite prolific! I'll have to look up if I can find unrecorded stuff! Should be interesting!

Thank you, Dale! I love your calm reciting voice!

Thank you Craig! I think that answers the question of what came first, the egg or the alligator!

Hi Christine! Welcome back to Librivox! All is great  Apparently it's like riding a bicycle! :D

Hey Rob! Thank you for yet another mission from Italy! By the way, in case you like films, have you watched Everett's "The Happy Prince"?

Thank you, Bruce! Quite a colourful selection!

Welcome to Librivox, Kimberly, and the Poetry Collection! Thank you for offering your recording, but unfortunately it is not in the Public Domain, so it can't be included in the collection. To be safe, you can choose works publish in 1923 and earlier.

I did check your recording, though, and I can say, you got all tech specs spot on! Your volume is a bit on the low side, so you can do with increasing the input volume of your microphone, just a bit, so that the waveform in Audacity - if you are using Audacity - peaks above the 0.5 mark:

Let me know if there are any questions! I hope you will find a public domain poem to contribute! You have a lovely voice!

and last but not least, a short sonnet (very romantic) as my third contribution:

"What were I, Love, if I were stript of thee" by James Russell Lowell (1819-1891)

Duration: 1:15 min.
