Interesting. Then Australia must have the same pl rules as the United States and not like countries on the European continent. :hmm:
Not exactly. Until 2004 Australia had the same provisions as Canada and New Zealand - year of death of author/translator plus fifty years. In 2004 the government changed it to death plus seventy years, with the proviso that books that had already entered the public domain i.e. those that were published before 1955, would remain in the public domain.

To see what books USA residents are missing out on, please check the following site:

Nice that people, such as yourself, know how it goes and are willing to clue in those of us who do not know. Thank you.

Apologies forgot to put in my claim request, first recording I've submitted. RobertWahlroos would be how I would like to appear for catalog.

RobW, welcome to LibriVox. I am the Proof Listener for this thread and I check to ensure recordings match our needed technical specifications. Your recordings have two technical issues that can likely be fixed easily.

If you would please prepare what we call the 'one-minute test,' and submit it in the Listeners & Editors Wanted thread, someone will be able to help you get started. Information about the 'one-minute test' can be found here: https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/1-Minute_Test

Again, welcome!
