Sure, I'd be glad to have you join this project, Elizabeth

Is Maeve how you would like to be listed for credit in the LibriVox catalog?
That is fine, but I just wanted to confirm that.

Also, could you give me the section numbers for the ones you want to claim?
That's how they are entered and will save me the time of looking through 189 sections to find them.

Thanks so much.
Larry

I would be pleased to have you read these sections, but we do ask our new readers first to complete a one-minute test recording to check our your specs and set up. You should find instructions for doing this in your welcome message, or you can find them in the Newbie Guide to Recording under Point 2 in the head post in this project thread. You should read through that guide anyway, because it will get you off to a good start.

As soon as you have the "OK" on your test, post again here and let me know how you would like to be listed in the LV catalog.
I'll save these sections for you for a week or so.

I'm just seeking to confirm this before I start. After I read th "Fables Of Aesop and Others by aesop, [Story name]", do I have to read the story's title again when I begin reading it? Let's say, I'm reading The Mice In Council. Do I have to say "The Mice In Council" again after the "Fable Of Aesop and Others by Aesop, The Mice In Council" part or do I jump straight into the story itself?
I hope this wasn't too confusing.

Sure. Here is how the intro should be read:

Section 98 of Fables of Aesop and Others. This is a LibriVox recording. All LibriVox recordings are in the public domain. For more information, or to volunteer, please visit: librivox DOT org" Recording by [your name] "Fables of Aesop and Others, by Aesop. - - The Mice In Council" Then read the story, including the Application section. At the end say, "End of Section 98"

Let me know if this isn't clear.

Hi Maeve and welcome. Your recording was only lacking a couple of secs at the end, where we need 5 seconds of silence. Because I had time, I added it and reuploaded the revised file, but could you remember for future readings please?

This is my first attempt to read for librivox. Where do I find the text for the Aesop's Fables. I have found three different version of the Fables and the Camel and Jupiter are all different. Is there a specific text I could get a link to. I did find the book on Gutenburg, org.
