The last one has two small mistakes, but the meaning is the same. At 0:53, I said "hills" instead of "hill" and, at 5:23, I said "a sad and fervent" instead of "a sad, a fervent" prayer."

Sounds like you had a tough timetable, as well!RobMarland wrote: ↑September 15th, 2019, 4:27 pmNo worries. Sorry, I thought you had missed it in the flurry of posts. No, nobody would have noticed I was recording. I am not up on my names for different parts of a church, but this one had kind of upstairs / downstairs parts at the back. They were upstairs chanting away and I was downstairs in some sort of chapel. It was about 8am. These monks have a tough timetable!
Thanks again! It's now in the MW

To add to the answers to your questions, it's safer to go with PD text sources, like gutenberg. The changes you noted in other sources, might be later editions that are copyrighted.

Thank you, Arthur! This recording is great, too! And in the Magic Window! By the way, your name in the Magic Window is a link, that leads to your Reader Page in the catalogue; it lists all projects you've read for, so it might look a bit empty now, but if you enjoy recording you won't even realize how fast it will fill up!ArthurNascimento wrote: ↑September 16th, 2019, 3:50 pm

Hello Disce Sine Fine! Welcome to Librivox and the Poetry Collection! Thank you for your contribution! The tech specs of the recording are spot on, but I get a lot of background noise. Have you found a quiet place to do your recordings? Or do you think the noise could be due to faulty connections of the microphone? You could experiment with the Noise Reduction effect, but still I think it's too much to remove effectively. And I say that because the recording needs more volume, too, so if you amplify the recording, the background noise will also get amplified, so it's best if it can be avoided when recording.DisceSineFine wrote: ↑September 16th, 2019, 9:27 pm Power of He'll By John Le Gay Brereton (Sept,2,1871-Feb,2,1933

I know! I've already reserved a place in some other projects and plan to add a few more as time goes by. I've counted 8, I think.Rapunzelina wrote: ↑September 17th, 2019, 1:38 pm By the way, your name in the Magic Window is a link, that leads to your Reader Page in the catalogue; it lists all projects you've read for, so it might look a bit empty now, but if you enjoy recording you won't even realize how fast it will fill up!
