Selected Poems by Robert Frost (1874 - 1963).

These are poems selected by the publisher, Henry Holt & Company reprinted from "Mountain Interval" "North of Boston" and "A Boy's Will." Included are some of Robert Frost's best known poems such as "Mending Wall" and "The Road Not Taken," but also some of his longer poems that are dialogs, or conversations. ( Larry Wilson)

• This project is now complete. All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/selected-poems-by-robert-frost-2/
    1. How to claim a part, and "how it all works" here To find a section to record, simply look at point 5. below at the sections. All the ones without names beside them are "up for grabs." Click "Post reply" at the top left of the screen and tell us which section you would like to read (include the section number from the left-most column in the reader list, please). Read points 6. to 8. below for what to do before, during and after your recording.
    2. New to recording? Please read our Newbie Guide to Recording!
    3. Is there a deadline? We ask that you submit your recorded sections within 1-2 months of placing your claim. Please note that to be fair to the readers who have completed their sections in a timely way, if you haven't submitted your recording(s) after two months, your sections will automatically be re-opened for other readers to claim, unless you post in this thread to request an extension. Extensions will be granted at the discretion of the Book Coordinator. If you cannot do your section, for whatever reason, just let me know and it'll go back to the pool. There's no shame in this; we're all volunteers and things happen. Please do not sign up for more sections than you can complete within the two month deadline.
    4. Where do I find the text? Source text (please only read from this text!): http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/59824
    5. Please claim sections (the numbers in the first column below)! If this is your first recording, please let me know under which name or pseudonym you'd like to appear in the LibriVox catalogue. We can also link to a personal website/blog.

Prospective Prooflisteners: Please read the Listeners Wanted FAQ before listening! Level of prooflistening requested: standard

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

This book is divided in to eight sections.
I will take eight, and Kevin S will take 8.
We may add a few more voices for some of the conversational poems.

My secret to reading Frost is to drink maple syrup beforehand, but not too much; he isn't that sweet. In fact, I may switch to mulled cider.

Com'n over! We have a maple sugaring house almost within walking distance, and we always have the real stuff on the table. How 'but some apple cider donuts to go with the drink It will soon be time for that on chilly autumn evenings.

Hi Larry,
It is setup now. Do you have a proof listener?
Cheers!

Thanks, Amy!

Why don't you put KevinS in as DPL
We'll proof each other's sections, if that's okay.
We may do some as duets, or may bring another voice for some, and can adjust the MW accordingly.

This should be easier for you than Aesop's Fables -- like 8 sections vs 189.

Section One

So, I think of you as the boss of the project and I want to record as you wish it. So please have a listen and take a critical view. Pacing, tone, length of silences, etc. etc. are all up for review.

I won't be recording more until you decide if you'd like to do some as duets and/or bring in other voices.

Not the boss, just taking the lead in our joint project! :D

I think this is just perfect, so please carry on.

I may lag behind a bit, and I need to go over the poems where we might need another voice before I go too far down the "road not taken."

That's very kind of you to say.

You'll enjoy the even-numbered sections best!

Just checking in to say that with my Edwin Markham solo in the catalog, I will turn my attention to getting this one completed. Kevin, I will PM you about the poems I'd like to do with other voices. NemorR and bluechien are up for joining in, but I need to go through all of the parts again.
