Oh, so great!
I've put you in for this, and now we are full up!

So, if everyone can make an effort to get you little ditties recorded, we can put this book into the catalog for the listening public to enjoy. :D

Thank you!

I took a listen to part of this, and there is a loud background hum that is very distracting.
I would suggest using the Noise Reduction feature if you are using Audacity. Get your sample from the end of the recording and set it for about 15. If you need help with that, let me know. Also, we need five seconds of silence at the end and you have only about two.

I'll let our DPL give you a report on the rest of the recording.
Hi!

I am sorry, I don't quite get this " Get your sample from the end of the recording and SET IT FOR 15 "

What do I have I have to do again from now on?

Thank you!
Well, your mike is picking up a hum from something. It doesn't sound like a computer fan, but an AC hum from some electrical device. If you can find a way to eliminate it, that's the best.

For this file you can correct it in audacity, with a few simple steps.

- highlight a portion of the record where just the hum is audible. The closing silence works well because longer the sample, the better.
- From the Effect drop-down menu in Audacity, select Noise Reduction.
- From the menu that pops up, select the box Get Noise Sample.
- Then highlight the entire recording
_ From the Effects menu, again select noise reduction.
- Set the noise reduction slider to 15 dB
- Click on OK

I do this on about every recording I do, so it has become second nature.

Let me know if you need more help.
I think I have found out the hum sound. The hum sound interfering the recording is the vibration from the fridge near by where I was recording. It took me a few days to find out.

I will redo it the recording again.

Thank you!

Sounds likely. (I have my wife's permission to unplug the fridge when I record 8-)

No real need to re-record. I tried the noise reduction and it worked fine. Choice is yours.

No one in my family would ever allow me to do this.

#1 It's quiet, isn't it?

# 2 Too quiet.

#1 He's done it again.

# 2 You mean, He's forgotten to do it again!

# 1 and 2 (loudly) Kevin!

Hi,
I'm sorry for everyone who had to wait for PLing for a long time. I'll get to it as soon as possible.
A few things I noticed - section 36 doesn't have the length in the MW and section 56 isn't marked as ready for PL.
Also, sections 51-54 have the wrong bit rate and should be changed to mono instead of stereo. This is easily changed. While recording, You're software should record on mono as circled in the picture below:

There is no need to rerecord the files though. You can open them again on Audacity and export them again. You're export window should look like this:

If you're having any more problems your'e more than welcome to ask. :)
