red8621 wrote: September 8th, 2019, 1:56 pm Hello there!

I would like to take Section 39: The Story of A Pumpkin Pie.
I am new here, and my first sample recording was the first paragraph or a little less of it:

https://librivox.org/uploads/tests/The_Story_of_Pumpkin_Pie.mp3

Please let me know if that works, and I would like to go under the Pseudonym of McRed.

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Regards,
McRed
Hi McRed,

Welcome to Librivox! 39 is all yours! Here is a link to your catalog page: https://librivox.org/reader/13591

I have checked your test, and you pass with flying colors! :-)

Thanks, and have fun!

quick question, do you want me to read the introduction in the given text or go straight to the story? for my section, the introduction is "First published The Outing Magazine, January 1908.

Significantly changed and republished as A Queen of Hearts, in The Story Girl in 1911."

I'm going to go ahead and read it, but if you don't want it I can easily edit it out.

Hi Michael,

I would skip that and just go straight to the story. Thanks for asking!

Section 52, The Old South Orchard, 18:00
https://librivox.org/uploads/m8b1/uncollectedlmm_52_montgomery_128kb.mp3

That took a lot more editing than I expected, let me know if I need to change anything!

It probably means nothing, but I can't get here from my Reader's Page. The computer thinks a bit, and seems to just refresh my page.

Oh well. I'm going to record now!

I will gladly read 41, What Happened at Brixley’s. I read the first 4 books in the Anne of Green Gables series years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. I look forward to making some of her work available to others for free. Thank you all for your help with LibriVox! :)

Hi!

Could I claim Section 17 "What Became of a Dare?"

This will be my first recording here, you can use Colleen Arnold in your catalogue.

Let me know if there is anything else that I should do for you. Thanks!

It should be fixed now, Kevin. I forgot to do something when I set it up. Sorry! Thank you for your section! :D

Hi,

Welcome to LibriVox! Section 41 is all yours! Please read the first post of this thread carefully.

Please let me know under which name or pseudonym you'd like to appear in the LibriVox catalogue. We can also link to a personal web site/blog.

Also, since this is your first recording, we ask that you send in a 1-minute test recording. This is not an audition, it's just to make sure the sound quality and the recording settings are all right - often things can be improved at the outset that are difficult to fix later. Please go to 1-Minute Test: https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=1-Minute_Test to find out what to record for your 1-minute test, and how to upload the recording. In the LibriVox Uploader, please select 'tests - tests' from the MC drop-down, and then post your test recording in the Listeners Wanted forum, rather than in this thread - you'll get feedback more quickly there.

Thanks, and have fun!
Maria
