I must admit, I love Macaulay like a brother. I'm reading Volume Two of his nephew's biography of him.
My best,
Pam

Are you reading it for Librivox? Let me know when it's complete. Section 27 is PL OK.pnagami wrote: ↑September 3rd, 2019, 7:24 am Hi Barbara,

Now who will stand on either hand,
And keep the bridge with me?”
I'm guessing that Paris is shortly going to be worth a mass. I'm going to give up following the text as I listen - you never make a mistake!pnagami wrote: ↑September 6th, 2019, 8:30 am Hi Barbara,

Thank you, Barbara!
And that's fine by me! Word perfect not necessary.

As for the Macaulay, I'm just reading it, but not for Librivox. It's a two volume Life and Letters biography by Sir George Otto Trevelyan. Macaulay's sister married George's father when she and her brother went out to India in 1835.
Again thanks!

I'm reading "Europe: a natural history" by Tim Flannery and last night picked up some fascinating factlets (supplemented by the internet) about the geology of the Paris and the effect of the same on the city's history - e.g. why the Left Bank was developed first, why the later movement to the Right Bank and why Montmartre?
Best,
Barbara
