Chapter 9 is ready for PL.
I would be happy to redo it if you want it different.
oh but I don't want it different
Jay, don't ever again say that your reading doesn't cut the mustard. This narrative was excellently done. Nicely paced, some lines really tongue-in-cheek, especially the final paragraph where you really put some amusement in your voice over the poet. Made me smirk as well listening to it. Oh and the opening paragraph, you almost read it like poetry, the autumnal description was really soothing and romantic to listen to. It's absolutely perfect, and I'm glad you finally jumped on board and tried recording. Where have you been all these years ?
That said....I am sorry to say that I found a small thing in the beginning that you need to correct:
>
at 0:25: "
Autumn days" - after the intro, you need not repeat "chapter 9" but please say the title of the chapter, here "Autumn days". Otherwise you don't mention the title at all
So no need to re-record the whole text, simply cut "chapter 9" and insert "Autumn days" and then all is perfect.
> optional:
at the end you only have 4 seconds of silence. We should have a standard of
5 seconds. Now one second doesn't matter much, but I only mention it to make you aware of it, and so you won't have even less in your next recordings
All in all, a wonderful first section for your debut. Have you seen you Reader page already ?
https://librivox.org/reader/12074 your first project is now listed there. Hopefully many many more to come.
thank you
