Chapter 1

Not really a finished product, but I thought you like to hear it. I want to balance some of the volumes or tones. (I don't really know the lingo.) It's basically a matter of the intro and outro.

I left in your announcing the chapter number and title. Is that all right? Also, do you want a voice credit in the recording? I only do so if the BC asks for it and won't do so here unless you want it.
Oh, I think we sound good together, Kevin. :D

You've done a great job of putting this into a easy to listen to recording.
I've gone ahead and marked this PL OK, as well as the Intro.
You can still play with it some, but sounds fine to me.

As far as voice credit, I usually like to have one somewhere, but you are BC, so you're call.

I'm looking forward to the rest of the book.

And, yest, Congregationalism is a major influence here in New England.
I've visited the original church in Plymouth, MA, split from the one across the street.

And, we had a good fellow pastor friend who was pastor of Old Ship Church, now Congregational, in Hingham, MA, and claims to be the oldest continuously used house of worship in the U.S. If there is only one church in a New England town or village, it will most likely be Congregational. I'm sure not all of them would subscribe to this catechism though. Many are UCC now, which is another story.

I agree about the sound!

As for the voice credit, let's add it.

Just replace the questions file with what you'd like to day. (I have the questions file downloaded, of course, but perhaps you should keep a copy, too, at least til we're done.)

Many of my friends attended services and events at the UUC when I was just a kid. Being RC, it all sounded like a day camp to me!

I'm blaming silverquill! (Will that work as an excuse? Hahaah! I better find one that's true!)

I just need to set myself to the work. It's a bit more confusing than I expected.

But thank you for the offer!

Chapter 3 is uploaded for review. Please let me know if it drags at all.

Also, I would like to add your voice credit, too, so if you could record that, please, if you don't mind. I think we agreed on "Questions read by [name to be used.]

Or have you already done that? (My memory...)

Oh, good!

Just a couple of comments.
I do think it drags a little, actually. I would aim for about 1/2 second between ind of answer and beginning of question. I don't think you need to change this one though, unless you want to. Just my personal listening preference.

Also, I think we can do the short disclaimer: This LibriVox recording is in the public domain.

Sorry if I didn't get the voice credit to you, but I will do so.
And, I think we need the voice credits just once at the beginning of the first section.
We might include them at the end of the book.

Tricia may have an opinion on the above.

Anyway, glad to see this one moving again, and hope we can wrap it up for November.

I ask because I value your opinion. I'll make the change.

Cross your fingers, but I think I've got all the recordings set up and just need to tighten the silences. We could be done quickly. (Haaaha! Or not.)

Okay, if we do not need the voice credits in every chapter, then I believe Chapter 2 is ready for a final PL. That doesn't mean it can't be changed, of course. I tightened up the space between question and answer and it sounds much better. If you would like, we can tighten up the rest, though I like that this is a bit of a pause after an answer so that it can sink in a bit.

Chapter 1 will get a last review by me as soon as we can put in the voice credits.

We're on a roll!

Hey, Kevin --
Got an extra busy weekend -- picking up so.me OT, but I'll get to these just as soon as I can.
It'll be good to move this off the chart and clear up Tricia's folder.
