Since these are fun poems, I'd enjoy reading some more. May I have 12, 14, and 21-23?

28, 35 are both PL OK
40 just needs a trim at the beginning. Opening silence needs to be one second or less, and you have two seconds.

Thank you!
Below is the recording (laptop recorded for a change, but if the quality is not good enough I can re-record using my headset mic):

That was fast

Well, just to be honest with you, laptop mikes are really inadequate, and most headset mics aren't a whole lot better, to be truthful. Now we don't have stringent standards her so your recordings have been accepted. Even this one we would probably allow. Aside from just now having the vocal range to give a more natural sound to your voice, this recording as bumps of noise throughout. Just listen to the first few seconds, and I think you will here it right away, I don't thing they are actually bumps on the laptop, but aren't quite plosive noise either. I won't reject this, but I think you might want to tray again for a better recording.

If you want to do a lot more recording, I would suggest getting a good USP microphone. There are some excellent ones that are not very expensive.

We do appreciate your contributions and hope you will continue recording for LibriVox. :D

Hi Chuck, I checked 17 and loved the reading. You are missing 3 second of silence at the end you have only 2 and it should be 5 :)

Hi Larry,

At long last here are my three:

Time: 1:10

Time: 1:27

Time: 2:03

A couple of notes. On the first one, I uploaded it the first time with the wrong URL. I forgot the "sims" part. (I knew that 'naming' went too fast). Corrected and reuploaded.

Also, I liked the story of number 20, but had no ideas what "Guignol" was. (Google is your friend): "Guignol, most prominent puppet character in France, where his name became synonymous with puppet theatre. The hand puppet was created by the puppeteer Laurent Mourguet of Lyons in the early 19th century. Guignol was performed with regional dialect and mannerisms and in the traditional garb of the peasant. Short-nosed, round-eyed, and perpetually surprised, he was easily duped but quick to extricate himself from trouble and to help his friends and drinking companions. Though sometimes approximating a Lyonnais version of the Punch-and-Judy show, Guignol usually appeared in his own plays featuring his wife, Madelon, and his companion, Gnafron." Such fun.

Also, in the poem, I gave the word "baton" the British pronunciation "batten". They pronounce many French words their 'own way' so as to not use the French pronunciation, such as 'buffet' (buf'et).

I have a realy bad internet connection so I won't be able to reply to each of you seperately but the reading was very good. I enjoyed listening to the poems! sections: 2, 13, 15 and 17 are PL OK!
Also, I've listened to section 18 and it seamed to PL OK as well but it was not marked as ready for PL so I'll be glad to know what's going on with that :)
