I hope using PD photos rather than artwork are fine. I have heavily edited the original 1915 photo to make it look like a drawing/painting rather than a photograph.

2 caught -- and linked. Thank you :D

Anne
The war ministry photos are PD - the book is about training camps in Britain but I suppose the finished product in France is OK
Thanks for pointing out the non PD SF

Hello,

I just joined LibriVox and i'm just learning how to use the forum. I was hoping to start with a CD cover, i've read all of the info available on what you're wanting volunteers to contribute. I'm guessing that if i keep clicking on the link to CD covers that need to be done, that eventually one will become available. I didn't realise it might be a bit tricky to claim one or how popular these are. I'm posting mainly because you mentioned that i should do do before claiming a CD cover to create.
If you have any ideas on if there will be more CD covers needing to be done soon, that would be helpful.

We really have no idea, some days there are none, other times a flood. We are at the end of a long process and about the only things that you know when the will start and end are the weekly and fortnightly poem, and even those will be catalogued when the MC has time.
If you are planning to be a reader sometime why not start with the 1 minute test. Or you could do some proof listening, just so you get to feel you part of things. I can't promise a cover will be available soon and would be a bit boring keeping coming back and failing to find one. Librivox is a 24 hour operation, and many of the soloists and book coordinators make their own covers.

Hello Anne,

Thanks for letting me know, i'll have a go at some proof-listening. I just did some proof listening for a 1 minute test, but it occurred to me that i'm not sure if i was supposed to. It was for JayS and i gave him some info from your site about how to get a clearer recording as well as giving him some positive feedback on his reading voice and style as he said he was unsure about it. I hope that's ok? I guess i'll look for a book that needs PL next.

Kind Regards,

wellblossomwing

caught.. the 2 non PD stories in the 20SciFi stories have been replaced and catalogued, if you could fix the time on the PDF and just upload again same name and tell me

Anne
The cover is linked. The image doesn't have a PD in the USA tag, but it must be close to pre 1924, but you need to be careful about it in future
