How sad. How very sad. Even I, hundreds of years removed and on the wrong side of the chasm between fact and fiction feel a sorrow for poor Nina.

Your reading was heartfelt and moving.

I did an honest PLing and have no qualms in giving this section a PL OK. Very OK. Maximum OK.

This is great, great writing. HBS continues to surprise me.
And, your recitation is likewise remarkable.
I was hoping that I would get a chance to read more about Nina's religious conversion when I recorded the story of her death.
Thank you!

It hardly seems adequate to say that this section is PL OK. But it definitely is.

13:30 she's coming to see us off and on—she promised so, and on is missing
16:13 favorite springes (a snare or net), you say springs
18:10 a curious fact, you say scurious

If still available I would like to be assigned
52 Ch. 51 The Slave Hunt
53 Ch. 52 "All Over"

I see that sections 23 and 24 are hanging in the wind, if iBeScotty doesn't want to do these, I'll be happy to continue my efforts doing Dred's gravely voice.

If this is the case, then I'll put the other two ( 52 and 53) back into the pool for other lucky readers.

Section 25 is PL OK! Good job. Wow.

That Dred is quite a character, and your rendition had me convinced I was listening to he himself! I wonder, did Stowe make him up out of her own imagination? And I don't understand why he isn't as well known today as Ishmael in Moby Dick, Jean Valjean in Les Miserables, or other such uniquely driven literary characters. I couldn't find a movie, either.
