Section 27 still missing a few of the fixes:

3:28 need "quote" before "religious action" and "end of quote" after "clause"

6:58: Need quote/end of quote at the Locke quotation.

12:53 Need "quote" before "[To] condition" and "end of quote" after "constitutional liberties"

15:41 Need "quote" before "The essence" and "end of quote" after "of religion"

Notes on section 15:

17:35 Insert "end of quote" after "African descent."

17:45 A phrase got dropped here (the bracketed phrase). Should read it as "quote 'apply to aliens (open bracket) [being free white persons, and to aliens] (close bracket) of African nativity and to persons of African descent;' end of quote"

22:49 "should become citizens by birth" I hear "should be citizens by birth"

23:02 "The fact therefore" I hear "In fact therefore"

Whew! That was a super long decision, and it took a lot of work to follow all the wanderings of the discussion--well done!

I think I've got it. Section 27 - A few fixes

Colleen, Thanks for your patience. I would have saved us a lot of time and trouble if I'd gone back to the original text instead of using my copy of the text which didn't show the indentations and thus quotations.

No problem! I made my own "script" for mine where I cut and pasted the text into a Google doc and then added Quote and Footnote to the text to remind me; it also let me cut out the references I wasn't going to read! But it took quite a while to do it, and there's always the risk of cutting out text that is meant to be there.

One error noted.

22:35 no need of end of footnote here
