PL Notes The Last Leaf
Behrman's masterpiece! Awwww.
A few notes:
7:55 bending over her, you say here
10:50 red eyes, plainly streaming, you say steaming. Steaming eyes? Ouch!
I see you changed Sudie to Susie, probably thinking it was an OCR error in the gutenberg text, but it is also Sudie in these renditions:
http://www.online-literature.com/o_henry/1303/
http://www.eastoftheweb.com/short-stories/UBooks/LasLea.shtml
So, I think that's what O. Henry meant for Sue's nickname, to indicate affection, or perhaps delerium. Leave it, or fix it. O. Henry fans might care, that's all.
Occurrences at 6:30, 7:22, 14:50, 15:15

PL Notes Gift of the Magi
1:20 mendicancy squad, you say mendi-sansy, should be mendi-kancy (mendicant)
14:36 that of all who give gifts, you say gave. The last 3 sentences are all a summing up of Magi wisdom about giving for all time, all present tense.

PL Notes The Horse Dealer's Daughter
Quintessential Lawrence!!!!! Thanks for this contribution. Dr. Strange Love, eh? Now, as to my notes:
7:15 with his knees stuck out, you say struck
15:44 Why should she answer to anybody? You added to, which I recommend you delete to, for the story only says "she doesn't talk to anybody."
16:29 saddened dark green fields, you say satin
31:49 And something stubborn in him could not give away, stubborn is missing.
39:42 to rub himself down and dress, down is missing
40:02 dress of black voile, you say foil. Dressed in foil?
Beginning and end, the piece seems to say "The Horse Stealer's Daughter". I have a forum post called "word slurs" with a collection of my own slurs, and a few people have added more in. I hope you will consider adding this one here:
viewtopic.php?f=24&t=69510&p=1484222&hilit=word+slurs#p1484222
And fixing it here!

Fair trading, would you have time to PL my upcoming contribution, Don Rodriguez 6th Chronicle? 36:00
There will be no rush on that, though it is quite chivalric and a charming love story I think you will enjoy.
