I actually wanted to read 'Little Laughing Boy', which appears to be unclaimed -
but in the Gutenberg text it is presented as Chapter 4 (IV,) which has already been claimed... :?:
Johnny - that is due to the Preface so then all the Chapter numbers move down one. When we ask for items to read - we ask for them based on the Section number on the left side of the Magic Window - not the Chapters as shown in the text. You will also find in some books the Chapters are broken down into Part 1 and 2 etc. So then there are WAY more sections than Chapters as a recording cannot be longer than an hour (or so).

Net is when you want to read a certain Chapter - look for the title of it in the MW and then request that Section. :)

You need to wait until in this case Phil assigns it to you in the MW. Never start recording until a section is assigned to you :)

Yes you CAn! that sect ion (sect ion 5) is all yours. Yeah, I know, As Lynda explained, we simply can't always follow the chapters exactly and have learned to go by sect ions which, in this case is sect ion 5 but actually chapter 4 in the book. So when you record and export the file, be sure to name it section 5. OK?

Can I have 5, 8, and 11 please?

(I've just finished - sort of! - the main story that was bugging me, and I missed the deadline on a couple of others.
Nil probs - they can be rolled over to the next collections! )

Still, this looks like being a very popular read - so I wanted to get my dibs in!
Yes, it seems popular. Just to be sure, would you post the titles of the sections you want to read? I have already given you 5 (laughing boy) and I want to be sure you get the right ones. thanks.

Oh Phil!

I will volunteer! I have already recorded my 2 sections though - do you mind listening to them for me?

If not, I will just give them up and DPL instead....

Hey Phil -

Both your recordings are PL OK - great to listen to!

I have one question though as I might have made a mistake in my recordings. You have us recording Chapter (x) so for your recording of the poem was marked Section 1 and you said Chapter 1 during the recording. However in the book it is NOT Chapter 1, in fact the next reading is Chapter 1 (which is Section 2).

Did you mean us to record the Section number or the Chapter number for our recordings? I know some BC's have us record Chapter numbers as they match the Section numbers however in this case they do not and I am wondering if instead of Chapter you want us to say Section???

I hope I have not confused you...

Regards, the lovely Lynda :)
