PL OK!

I will point out that your pronunciation of 'convent' (at 27:20) is not entirely clear only because you never make mistakes.

Chill, dude! I'm woikin' on it. :birthday:

My Learning Ally Young Adult novel has strict deadline.
And This ACX gig was written by a kid probably just out of high-school is killing me. He has a command of the English language but does not know how to structure a paragraph or avoid cliches. He lacks subtlety, maturity, and coherency of thought. It is terribly painful. Probably not as painful as a burst appendix but very similar.
I am trying to push through it, but need to stop after every paragraph to make sure I read it right because I couldn't believe my eye-ears.
I was fooled.
His preface (the audition) was pretty good. It sounded passionate and like it was going to be a good read.
Now, looking back, I see the clues.

Here is an example:

Online security conversations should start from the moment kids
start roaming the internet. Explaining the physical and digital world
are two sides of the same coin, and just like the real world, the online
world is home to safe as well as unsafe things. Use computer safety
solutions. It is pertinent to note tools of a technological nature can
play significant roles in protecting equipment, user data, and the likes
.

All I know is that I want to commit suicide reading this stuff:

Have you ever wondered why there is a growing incidence of child
suicide in schools nowadays, or what is it about bullying that makes it
so adverse a victim would seek death as a means of escape? According
to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, suicide is one of the
leading causes of death among adolescents, and general suicide rates
have increased steadily from the year 1999.(53) The truth is when it
comes to bullying, there are so many things that could go wrong and
spiral out of control because at every point in time, bullying is
accompanied by moodiness and excessive thinking, and when this is
not controlled abruptly, it could birth several issues one of which could
result in suicidal ideation.

Did you ever steal a nickle from your mother's coin purse so that you could buy some lemon gumdrops?

This is your penance.

No. It was much much worse:

Surprisingly, the link between bullying and suicide is not so
straightforward. Logically, the victims of bullying are supposed to be
the ones affected by suicidal ideation; however, the prospect of suicidal
ideation affects both the bully and the victim. This is because bullying
itself as an act may be due to several issues some of which might be
genetic or environmentally disposed. Bullying might be a
manifestation of a troubled environment or even a broader matter
relating to the biological composition of the person. This implies that
nature and nurture plays a significant role in the development of
bullying habits. The continuous act of bullying by a child against his
peers if left unchecked may eventually drive the bully into a dark place
where they are left questioning the meaning and essence of life.

If you need to talk, I'm here for you.

Okay, enough for today. You have work to do. I have work to do.

Just checking in. Chapter II has been 1/4 recorded at around 5am this morning. I'll fill in the bigger words and then edit sometime in the not-too-distant future.

Good news!

Did you want me to mark Ch 1, Pt. 5 as PL OK? At issue was only the one word.

I thought you were kidding because I checked it out and didn't hear anything and didn't get the joke. Wait, I'll double check and fix whatever you tell me.

To me, 'convent' sounds close to 'cónvict.' Maybe it's just me, but have another listen.
