Please select and record any short story (fiction) in the public domain. Try to stick to stories that run less than 60 minutes, but we're flexible. You are welcome to contribute as many as you wish, and there is no need to "sign-up"...if the work is clearly in the public domain, just start recording. Multiple versions are always welcome, so don't worry whether someone else has recorded your selection already; we're happy to hear your version too =)

After 20 stories are submitted, I will collect them, catalog them, and upload them to archive.org. [EDIT: changed 10, to 20 stories.]

Nice selection and excellent reading!... no worries about it being an essay.... I think it's safe to say that perhaps 75% of what Twain wrote, even when claiming it to be a true story, was indeed fiction =)

PS: What does "SW/tc" mean (I haven't seen any guide to LibriVox lingo). The only thing I can think of for "tc" is thistlechick.

Doh! Of course, SW = Short Works. So tc is likely the coordinator's initials, yes?

ah... SW stands for Short Works and tc indicates that thistlechick will be cataloging the project (Metadata Coordinator...MC) there is more information about this here: http://librivox.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=6427#7122

but essentially, we code the projects by general genre type so that users can scan through looking for they types of work they prefer working on... and the MC initials help the MC's better coordinate and also let readers know who to contact with questions.

I realized this info isn't in the FAQ's for this forum... I'll see if we can add it. Thanks for asking =)
