The Voices of the Rivers by Nina Ruth Davis Salaman (1877 - 1925).

This project is now complete! All audio files can be found on our catalogue page: https://librivox.org/the-voices-of-the-rivers-by-nina-ruth-davis-salaman/
Nina Salaman was a noted scholar, translator and columnist. As well as translating medieval Hebrew poetry, she was a poet in her own right. This collection, first published in 1910, shows her remarkable grace. ( Newgatenovelist)
  • Text source (only read from this text!): https://archive.org/details/voicesofrivers00salaiala/page/n8
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Note for a prospective MC: I'm not quite sure how it works when you set it up, but the magic number of 50 sections is meant to be 00 for the first one, then 01-49. I hope that makes sense and means less deleting or reordering if I explain it that way!

I will use the full disclaimer for the whole book for the first and final poems, but for everything in between I'll use the shortened poetry intro/outro.

This is a solo, but there is one poem (section 43) that would work really well as a duet. Could Ian King (GrayHouse) please be added to that one section as a special guest reader?

I can set it up. The answers to your questions are - if you have said there is an introduction when filling out the template, then it starts at 0 , otherwise it starts 1, And you can always add a second reader to any section

Thank you very much! I've just seen that I wrote PL OK instead of ready for PL in my first message. I'm really not firing on all cylinders today, but I'm glad you knew what I meant!
