Section 70 PL OK

Section 71:

About 7:32 - there's a bit of static and silence here. No words are missing, but the silence can be cut out.
24:48 - long pause, nothing missing
31:19 (Jer 51:49) - repeat: "As Babylon hath caused the slain of Israel to fall" repeated at 31:22
37:47 - long pause with static, no words missing
About 43:08 - no "end of" notice, about 16 seconds of silence at the end

Your turn!

Section 73:

9:59-10:03 - long pause: "Though they be in a rebellious house. . . . Moreover, he said"

18:58 - "and smite about it with a knife" - strange sound right after this. perhaps copy/paste some "clean" silence here

Hi. I've been listening to the first few sections of Genesis and I've noticed some mistakes. Nothing huge at all. On section 1 and 2, I accidentally called "Abram", "Abraham". This happens at the end of section 1 and the beginning of section 2. So I fixed that and reuploaded it. There is also a repeat on section 3, A pop on section 4, section 5 where I accidentally call dinah "Joseph's daughter" instead of Jacob's daughter.. I have fixed these but I haven't re-uploaded them. These won't need any PL because they are tiny super easy fixes.

I would very much like to re-record section 6. I know I can do that better.

Please try to indicate time stamps of where you've made the edits, so I can be sure the file in the MW ends up being the corrected one.

It's best if there's at least a spot-PL for this reason (and also to be sure the file uploaded correctly before we catalog the project).

Section 1 has a corrected mistake at 51:39 changing Abraham to Abram.
Section 2 has a corrected mistake at 7:09 changing Abram to Abraham.
Section 3 has a repeat at 57:12 "And took of that which came to his hand.
Section 4 has a "pop" at 47:58
Section 5 at 14:16 "which she bare unto Joseph in Padanaram" is changed to "which she bare unto Jacob in Padanaram". I sped up the recording about 5% so the original mistake occurred at 16:26

Section 6 I just did over again. This needs a full PL.

I want to advertise for a new DPL - or maybe a team of PLs. This project is too big for one listener.

You do realize that by doing a section over again (like section 6), you just wasted the time of the PL that listened to the original section, right? :? Please make sure you're happy with the section before submitting it the first time, so that it's ready to go to catalog after being PL'd (barring any mistakes the PL catches). It's really disrespectful otherwise.

P.S. If you're really wanting more than a standard PL (which the listener does not have to compare your reading with the text), then we should change the type of PL. Changes like the Abram/Abraham substitution would not be caught with standard PL. I changed the OP type of prooflistening required to what I think you want. (I'll say that the sections I PL'd, I did follow along with the text, which is why I did catch some of those kinds of errors.)

I know that this offer will not help at present, but I will happily join in as PL once the reader reaches the Psalms and then the New Testament.

I hope this will not come as a disappointment but perhaps it could be seen as encouragement.

Wouldn't changing the kind of prooflistening mean that Section 7 - 78 need to be read PLd? I'll reupload the original file of section 6 so we won't have anything to worry about there.

It'll ensure that the ones still needing PL will get the kind of PL you're looking for. Unless you really want to, we won't go back and re-PL the ones that have been listened to already.
