Thanks for posting the Beauty's Hour cover. Alas, the link to the CD case routes back to the cover art.

Just checking Beauty's Hour again, it still doesn't link to the CD Case. :?:

This cover is for Project #13760
"A Summer in a Canyon: A California Story" by Kate Douglas Wiggin

https://librivox.org/uploads/covers/summercanyon_1907.zip

using:
https://www.the-athenaeum.org/art/detail.php?ID=210320

I know, I'm jumping the gun as this is in the final process of wrapping up, but in two days I'll be away from my computer for a while. Sorry for any trouble this may cause, but I hope that it is ok that I went ahead with this pre-claim.

Also...
:) I love finding new artists I like as a result of doing covers. This guy, Maurice Braun painted gorgeous impressionist landscapes, many of California. He really captures the uniqueness of the area. Check them out if you like that sort of art for covers. And all his artwork is PD.

With Maurice Braun we would all need to be careful about which ones are used - he died in 1941. So we would need dates for the paintings. With PD and the internet , it's really easy for people to say things are PD , when they are not. But yes , they would be good for covers and it is nice to use some of the many artists people have not heard of but I can't help wishing sometimes that they and some of the authors had died in 1923 so we knew for sure when they were published :D

I've caught your cover - I can't do anything more until it is catalogued - the coverart is stored on the Archive page along with all the other files.

I've added it to the catalogue, nice cover. Thank you. I'm still unhappy about not knowing when it was painted, I couldn't find the image on wikipedia to see if it was dated.
