thank you for this contribution. Unfortunately wikisource is never a reliable source to check whether a text is public domain.
We only accept those texts that have the actual scan included. Now I checked on this link you gave me, I don't speak enough Romanian, so maybe I missed the link to the scan, but (after spending an hour or so) I found an old version online on archive of this poem !
here is the book scan:
https://archive.org/details/VersurisiProza
here the page where it's clearly stated that it was published before 1923:
https://ia802808.us.archive.org/21/items/VersurisiProza/CR-XIX-I-96_0010.jpg
and here the poem over 3 pages:
https://ia802808.us.archive.org/21/items/VersurisiProza/CR-XIX-I-96_0041.jpg
https://ia802808.us.archive.org/21/items/VersurisiProza/CR-XIX-I-96_0042.jpg
https://ia902808.us.archive.org/21/items/VersurisiProza/CR-XIX-I-96_0043.jpg
So this is acceptable, with a few corrections. I found 4 significant deviations from the original text in your recording. So you can see that wikisource is not very reliable for the accurate scanned text
I didn't count the numerous different spellings as I thought it's probably only an old spelling but the word is the same, but the 4 sentences seem to me to be too different to ignore.
So could you correct these please:
>
at 0:31: “Pleacă-repede călare Să găsească pe bărbat” – you say: “Pleacă-n grabă ca să vadă Dacă e adevărat.” –
>
at 1:05: “Și, cu vorbe scurte Intră lordul John in curte“ – you say: “Și, ochindu-l bine, Lordul drept spre dânsul vine”
>
at 1:43: “Și ‘n orbite ochii-I ard.” – you say: “Simte palmele că-i ard,”
>
at 2:13: “Spune, ce mai vrei cu mine ?” – you say: “Auzi tu, cu ce gând vine!“
>
at 2:24-2:26: the pause here seems a bit long to me, anything over 1.5 seconds feels long to a listener. I would probably cut this a bit
Thank you
As for your other two texts, I'm very sorry, again, I didn't find a link to the scanned source in your wikisource link, and I checked a bit on archive.org, but couldn't find any other version of the poem either. So unless you find a PD source, we cannot accept those two.
Best thing is always to search on archive, where you see the date printed in the actual book. Gutenberg is also a reliable source, but unfortunately they only have 2 Romanian books there so far.
If in doubt, please post your link here, before you record, then we can check and you won't have invested time for nothing.
