If the footnotes don’t add to the subject, I usually suggest not to include. I would say you use your discretion whether they are important to understand the passage. In this instance, they are probably not important. If you do decide to include them, you are correct that you would say “footnote” “end footnote”.

Elsie, just to update you on Section 2, my test recording has been passed, including some suggested improvements, so I will now move on and start on reading this.

I would like to do "St. Germain the Deathless," please!
Thanks!
How would you like to be credited in the catalog? There are places for a catalog name (some use a nickname or forum name, some their real name) and a link to a personal web site or blog, if you have one.
You'll need to do the 1-minute test before recording the section you requested. Or, as an alternate, you can use the first 30 seconds or so of this recording as your test. However, I would recommend not to record the whole thing until you’ve gotten the OK on your test recording - that way, if there's something drastically wrong with your setup that requires you to re-do the whole recording, you won't have wasted your time.
Here’s the article explaining the 1 minute test: https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=1-Minute_Test
And another article explaining recording in general for new readers: https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Newbie_Guide_to_Recording
In the meantime, I’ll save the section for you!
Greetings once more!
I think I'll go with Story Dreamer for my catalog name. At this point in time, I don't have a blog or website--though I do have a question on that: if I do wind up having a blog or site in the future, would I inform the Project Manager that I'd like a link to it posted, or would I post the blog link myself somewhere?
And, here's the One-Minute test: https://librivox.org/uploads/tests/30_second_test_2.0_.mp3
Someone else already did take a look at it, and said I should be good to go. Your thoughts?
Thanks!

You’re good to go I’ll put you in the MW now
If you later have a blog you can ask any admin/MC to do so. You can tell who the MC is for each project by looking at the first post under the section giving directions on how to upload recordings. For example, Lynnet is our MC for this project.
MC catalogs all the completed files, BC (me for this project) sets up the project and organizes readers, and DPL (also me in this instance) proof listens to all the audio files.

Hi again Elsie. I've just uploaded the Chapter2 file here, ready for PL:
https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/historicalmysteries_02_lang_128kb.mp3
I added the ID3 tags, but perhaps as first time check I did correctly? Thanks

Thank you! I should actually remove the section on ID3 tags since they’re now done automatically in cataloging. Don’t worry about them!Jmbau13 wrote: ↑June 20th, 2019, 11:20 pmHi again Elsie. I've just uploaded the Chapter2 file here, ready for PL:

There are a few extra long pauses. Could you edit them down? @ 5:10, 31:52, 38:19, 38:27, 39:25, 41:41
A mistake @ 30:34
Also, could you say “End of Chapter 2” instead of just “End of Chapter”?
Finally, there’s a loud mouse click at the very end - could you delete that?
Many thanks!

Apologies for missing that big blooper! The mouseclick was almost inaduable on my speakers. Am getting a new set of headphones soon, which should avoid such things in the future.
