Hello! I'm brand new here. I know that I have a lot of learning and exploring to do before getting involved; but I'm really excited to have found LibriVox!
I've been told all my life that I have a great speaking voice, and I absolutely love reading out loud. I was involved in college radio (I did all the station identifiers and a lot of advertisements) and competitive public speaking (to toot my own horn, I placed 1st in Ohio for storytelling--way back in 1999!).
Now I live in Canton, NC, with my husband and 2 spoiled dogs. I work in healthcare quality (for a diagnostic medical testing laboratory); and my hobbies include running, gardening, sewing, and reading (of course!).
If anyone has any helpful tips for a newbie, please feel free to share.
