Hi Timothy, Ch. 4 is PL Ok. In Ch. 5, there is one small error, which could be left as is, or you could change if you want (either is ok by me). It occurs on page 42, middle of the page at 10:41. Text reads "and a clear violation of that most pious and equitable statute." You said "status" for "statute."

The smallest of points, but perhaps you could remove the tilde from your topic heading seeing as you have such a capable DPL.

These terribly small pages really lend themselves to tearing through this book.

Hi Timothy,

That final footnote provided quite an ending to the "unnumbered section following chapter seven"!

There are a couple of places where your recording seemingly, or actually, deviates from the text. The first two of these, I'm not sure about. They may simply be differences in our regional accents, but I'll point them out anyway. These occur at:

1:32 (page 62) "and the great Tempter himself..." I heard this as "the great Templar himself" (as in Knights Templar)

2:17.70 (page 62) "until an impious step even intruded itself upon holy ground." To my Midwest USA ear, your pronunciation of "impious" sounded like a variation of "impish" (mischievous). "Impious" (as in "lacking reverence for god"), according to Google translate sounds differently: https://translate.google.com/#view=home&op=translate&sl=en&tl=fr&text=impious. You know best which you meant.

Other minor slips:

4:27 (page 63) "broideress at St. Mary's Nunnery..." You said "nursery..."

6:43 (page 64) "with a hope of admittance into the Earl's household as an esquire..." You left out "a hope of"

9:50.5 (page 66) "She never for a moment stooped to remonstrate..." You said "stopped"

None of these things is crucial to the understanding of the text, so my thoughts are, fix or not as you please, after which I'll give the section my pl ok.
