Thank you. MW should be updated. Let me know if I missed something.

I prefer to stick to what the text says. If you used the name Washington only in the intro, I don't mind if we leave it, but the book itself never uses it, and we want to match what is printed as closely as we can, regardless of our prior knowledge of the subject.

Russ, is it possible that you may have uploaded an unedited version of section 54? I listened to the first 7 and a half minutes and have the following notes:

1:32 Two pronunciations here for the name "Bassett." Seems like you forgot to cut the one you didn't want.
3:49 Missed cut: "...to go back to the world--to the work-- of the Society."
4:26 Missed cut: "He is now educational ...(pause)... editorial secretary of..."
4:52 Stumble: "...of Su- of Sunday school..."
6:21 Stumble: "...we see-- we will see the river..."
6:37 Stumbles: "...narrow view-- vision, and take-- and taking the broad..."
7:19-7:26 Very long pause with mouse clicks.

You don't generally leave this many mistakes and stumbles in your recording, so I wanted to check with you before proceeding with this one. Please double check this file to make sure it is your final edited version.

EDIT: I also just noticed that, although you gave the run time as 18:24, the file I have is 19:39, so I think this is likely.

Regarding my recording of Topic 087 First Paper by George W. Carter and my recording of his name as George Washington Carver. I used that full name in the intro and twice in the biographical sketch that precedes the actual Carter paper. If you wish I will edit the recording and simply identify him as George W. Carter, as written.

I will re-visit 054. It certainly sounds as though I submitted an unedited version. I will change my practice, which has been to save unedited recordings against the possibility that, as has happened, a power outage or accidental deletion of an unedited recording occurs before I have gotten around to edit and submit it. In the future I will be sure to save the unedited recordings with something other than the correct name.

It happens. And it's not the first time I've seen it, which is why I thought I would check. Thank you!

Here is the EDITED version of Section 054. I had, indeed, submitted the unedited version. I am sure I edited it before, but what became of it I have no idea.

Thank you! I'm sorry that you had to go to the work of editing it a second time. I should be able to do some more listening on Thursday.
