Winston, out of curiosity, is there a story behind your choice of this specific translation of Erl-King? (seeing that there were more to choose from!)

Well, Rapunzelina, I think I looked at every PD English translation online before picking this one. Whittier's version may not be the most faithful (my German's not good enough to judge) but it conveyed the drama of the piece best for me--gave me a chance to chew the scenery!

Wonderful! This is quite unique reading!
But I have a PL note; they're missing the short disclaimer at the end "This recording is in the public domain". Could you add that? (Personally for me, it doesn't matter if you can't replicate the voice and the disclaimer ends up in a different tone. Just in case you were stressing about that.)

Lethargilistic - it's very nice to see more Gidlow in the catalogue. I'm glad more of her poetry has come into the public domain, and well done for noticing that it had!
