Thanks! About 5 secs preferably, so 4-7 I'd say is acceptable. Some mp3 players tend to cut off a few seconds at the end, so if it's too short, we might miss the ending. If it's too long, it affects listeners who listen back-to-back, might start to wonder why the next chapter isn't playing. So overall, the ending silence is not critical, but it's an easy edit, for the listener's comfort

Wow, thank you all for everything. I was out for the day and you were busys.
Love gothic novels? Try Children Of The Abbey. Like surprising mysteries? Try The Amathist Cross. Looking for an easy read? Try Harriet's Choice.

Here is the link to Chapter 28. Its length is 17:00. Sorry for the delay. This is my first recording, so it took me a while to figure out the editing.

I live in a large city and have young children, noises inside and outside my home. The only time I could record without background noise was like at 3am on a weekend when I was able to wake up for it. Next project I'll be upfront about the time it'll take me to record and edit given my situation. Thanks for your patience!
Just post in the thread once in a while that you are alive and intend to record.

Hello again,
I wanted to share my attempt at Section 19, however its unedited, but I would like your opinion on the audio quality (because I used my laptop mic instead of a headset). Please can you have a listen and let me know what you think about this and then I will get to work editing or redoing this section?
Please review the following audio recording related to Section 19: https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/sonatfront_19_wharton_128kb.mp3 Time 25:02
I look forward to hearing back from you.
Kind regards,
Chad
