Since when is a ghost so anxious about sounding "Lights Out"?

Well done, Chris! I thought the play-act love-making scene in Act 4 particularly funny. All of these are PL ok! Now you can go back to beating your drum.

I have my script marked to read for Sir George Truman, but I'm not sure what the Prologue is in Act 2 that I'm supposed to read. Can you give me a clue? Probably obvious, but I'm missing it.

The Prologue is actually at the very beginning of the play, before Act 1. It is spoken by Sir George, but he doesn't appear in Act 1, so I figured it would be easiest to just stick it at the beginning of of Act 2.

Ah, I see. And a clever rhyme it is.
Coming soon. :)

Sir George:

Not totally happy with this performance. I should have liked to put a little more difference when Sir George is playing the conjurer, as a really comically devious old man, and Sir George the love-struck husband. But, I hope it will suffice, nonetheless.

Sir George act 2 is PL ok. It's all I have time for at the moment. Very well done, so far! You've definitely got the love-sick part down. I also enjoyed the bit where you're mimicking Vellum. I think that will sound nice, all put together.

I'm sorry for the delay on this one. I'm still determined to read for you, but it will probably take another week or two... :P Sorry 'bout that.
Cheers, Ava.

Well done on act 3, Larry. A few notes for this one:

0:24 Missing line: "Well Vellum, I'm impatient to hear your Success."
1:22 I heard "I have formerly seen thee ogle her through my spectacles." The line is "through thy spectacles." It could kinda work either way, but I think it's funnier as written.
2:07 This one might be my ears hearing funny, but I hear "Thou'rt the fittest Fellow in the Ward to be a Master of the Ceremonies to a Conjurer." It should be "fittest fellow in the World."
4:28 Sounds like part of the word was cut out here accidentally, near the beginning of the line "Let him be angry—I matter not—He is short liv'd."

Excellent, Larry! A few more notes for Act 5, but as that's your big act, it makes sense. I think Sir George dominates the stage for almost this entire act. There were a few times here that I laughed aloud at your part alone. I can't wait to hear this put together!

2:41 I hear "Do ye love Sir George?" It should be "Did ye love Sir George?" since he is still going along with everyone's belief that he is dead.
3:21 Missing line: "Dear Vellum! I am impatient to hear some News of my Wife, how does she after her Fright?"
5:09 Optional suggestion: In the line "Thou wilt not give me the hearing," I'd place the stress on me. Vellum is whining that Sir George isn't listening to him, so Sir George points out that Vellum isn't listening to him.
10:12 Missing line: "Ha, ha, ha, Sir, are you there? Enter Drummer. Now must I pore upon my Paper." For a minute, I wondered if the "Enter Drummer" was meant to be part of stage directions, but I don't think so. The formatting of both texts seems to clearly put this all as part of Sir George's line. I think the "Enter Drummer. Now I must pore upon my paper" is probably spoken to himself. But if you choose to interpret it differently, that's ok.
10:40 You may have missed my note in the first post, but "Mrs. Abigal" should be read as "Mistress Abigal," not "missus."
12:23 Same note again, regarding Mistress Abigal.
12:55 Could be my ears again, but I hear "Then she has open'd the whole Story to her." It should be "Then he has open'd the whole Story to her."
14:07 I think there's a word missing that makes this a bit confusing. It should be: "My Dear, I long as much to tell you my whole Story, as you do to hear it." I can't hear the "I," though. I think it may have been omitted?

Thank you both! I'll PL these soon. I did already check that final act 1 line for you, Alan. I love it! I'll definitely use the frightened version! :D

Just in case you need something else to do, here are my corrected scripts:

https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/drummerorhauntedhouse_sirgeorge_1_128kb.mp3
https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/drummerorhauntedhouse_sirgeorge_3_128kb.mp3
https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/drummerorhauntedhouse_sirgeorge_5_128kb.mp3

I managed to get everything in, I think, but ran out of time to get new time stamps for Act 5, so I hope it won't be too hard to find the corrections.

I'm leaving shortly on a trip and will be gone until next Tuesday. I'll try to keep up with what I can, but won't be doing any recording. But, do let me know if there is anything else I need to do.
