Hi, everyone!
I'm currently a programmer but always a nerd and a bookworm. I was referred to Librivox years ago by a friend when my interest in voiceover came up, and later my wife was an enthusiastic listener of Librivox content. Voices and recording are things I've been interested in since I was a kid, and I'm hoping to get some practice reading for others here on Librivox. Eventually I'd like to do actual voice work as a side job to my programming.
I should have done this a long time ago, but there was a lot of "Real Life" in the way. I have no experience as a broadcaster, but I do have years of experience reading books to people, and I can get pretty enthusiastic about recording tech, so here I am. I followed some of Mike DelGaudio's suggestions and set up a (Really) Poor Man's Voice Booth in a spare closet, and I'm eager to see what I can get out of it.
And I'm off to post my 1 Minute Test!

Hello from Goodbytes
I'm thinking about doing a voice booth too.
